Warm Up: A poem about split ends

Split ends
wow I need a haircut
I just noticed how the hair splits , into different directions,
And then merging back into one strand of hair, waiting to be cut off;
thrown away and discarded
thats what happens when you take the commonly traveled path.
The other options, other paths, where the end splits are thrown away, never to be seen again.
How funny that a simple topic such as split ends
can get you thinking about your future...
And then when you get to your future,
age comes into play and life doesn't seem so simple.
Your hair turns grey, from the stress.
Washed out, looking worn. Then one day you will be bald, from old age,
never to grow back.
And on the bright side of your bright shiny head, you will notice, that you will never obtain another split end. One of your worries has slipped away. :)
